About Airnautic |
The role of a general sales agent (GSA)
With the growing operating costs for air transport and the keener
competition, many airlines face the need of "OUTSOURCING" some of their activities. That might leave them with
the question, if they
should have their own sales office in every on-line
and off-line country, or better use the services of a well established
and specialised local Cargo General Sales Agent (GSA).
The IATA Learning Centre is offering a special Marketing Management
Course for GSAs and writes: GSAs are an important component
in the airline distribution chain. Airlines are becoming increasingly
focused on reducing overall distribution costs and maximising
the return. However, GSAs must ensure, that they remain the
most effective option for the airline in the markets they serve.
AIRNAUTIC AG
The company was registered first in Basel 1958 with a capital
of CHF 50'000 (now 100'000), which over a period of over 50 years has considerably increased by building
reserves.
It is operating as a neutral representative for airlines, as
an air charter broker, wholesaler and transportation consultant.
AIRNAUTIC has offices in:
Basel City, Basel Airport, Zürich Airport and Geneva Airport.
These offices maintain very good contacts through their marketing
departments with the air cargo agents and can therefore promote
the services of an airline "on the spot", thanks to excellent personal contacts.
As a Cargo GSA, AIRNAUTIC can cover
all activities required, like:
Marketing, Sales Promotion, Public Relations, Advertising, Newsletters,
Information, Reservation, Freighting, Trucking, Airport Handling
or Supervision, etc. for either on-line or off-line services.
The company has its own anDATA computer department, which has
developed the anCARGO program, providing a reliable administration
service with customer control, invoices, sales reports, statistics,
accounting etc. Airwaybills are controlled by the computer system
and every AWB used by an agent is subtracted from stockcontrol.
Our software is also sold to other companies. Our Computer System
also includes FAX modems, allowing us to use it for automatic
transmission of letters and messages to all or selected agents. Also Telexes (SITA) and eMails can be
sent directly from the computer. We therefore can provide a very fast and
up-to-date communication system. We are also present on the internet.

/ eMail: info@airnautic.ch.
For off-line services we provide "Overland Interline Truck
Feeder Services" to various European airports, like Frankfurt,
Paris, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, Brussels etc., at very competitive
"interline" rates.
AIRNAUTIC can provide a complete Air Transport infrastructure
in Switzerland.
We will be pleased to give you any additional information required.
We also have the possibility to work out an evaluation of the
Swiss market for specific airline services.
If, for any reason, an airline does not want to nominate a GSA,
AIRNAUTIC can also cooperate as a wholesaler having the benefit
of its low cost truck feeder service.
